Learning to Live Delightfully

You love the beauty of a Charlotte Mason education, but somewhere along the way, the vision became something to measure up to rather than a way of life. African Miss Mason is a formation-centred home for the mother who longs for a life that feels whole — not through another system, but through the slow work of beholding Christ.

ABOUT
African Miss Mason
Charlotte Mason is often affectionately known as “Miss Mason.” Proudly African and based in Zimbabwe, African Miss Mason is a faith-based, formation-centred home for the Charlotte Mason mother. We offer an 'abundant and delicate feast', sharing our uniquely African flavour of Mason’s philosophy with mothers around the world.

[T]he culmination of all education... is that personal knowledge of and intimacy with God in which our being finds its fullest perfection.
— Charlotte Mason
COMING SOON – OUR ONLINE COURSE
Learning to Live
Learning to Live is a guided formation course for mothers who feel spiritually scattered, quietly discouraged, or worn down by ideal-driven striving.
Rooted in Charlotte Mason’s philosophy, Christian formation, and the slow work of rightly ordered love, this course is an invitation to return to what is true, good, and beautiful, and to live from a more settled centre in Christ.
“Whatever is true, whatever is honourable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable… think about these things.”
— Philippians 4:8
This is not another programme to master or a system to perform. This is where Learning to Live delightfully begins.
If this is the work your soul has been longing for, you are in the right place.

“You have made us for yourself, O Lord,
and our heart is restless until it rests in you.”
— St. Augustine

One of Charlotte Mason’s quietest gifts to mothers is the practice of keeping. This post introduces notebooking as a spiritual discipline. It is a way of training the eyes to see glory in the ordinary.
A gentle place to begin.
If your days feel too full and your soul too thin, this is an invitation to consider a different pace — one that love itself sets.
Formation happens in the small, repeated things.
This post explores how seasonal hobbies and simple pleasures can
tether a mother to her days with expectation rather than dread.
